How to configure a v4 translation task and estimate credits

The Translate v4 page is where you define exactly what a new translation run should do.

What you choose before creating a job

• Target languages: you can select one or multiple targets.
• Content modules: products, collections, pages, navigation, theme text, metafields, and more.
• AI model: choose the option that fits your quality and cost goals.
• Overwrite behavior: useful when you want the new run to replace older translated content.
• Custom Liquid: include pending custom or third-party storefront text when needed.

How job creation works

If you select multiple target languages, Ciwi creates one independent job per target language. This is intentional. It makes progress tracking, failure handling, and retrying much clearer than one giant combined job.

How estimates work

Ciwi shows an estimate before you confirm the run. The estimate depends on:

• how many targets you selected
• which modules you selected
• the model you selected
• whether translation memory can reduce new work
• whether custom Liquid content is included

When credits are not enough

If the estimated task is larger than your current balance, the app can block creation and guide you to buy more credits. After payment, you can continue the workflow without redefining the whole project from scratch.
